The restoration of this mid-block, historic building, designed by Palo Alto’s legendary Birge Clark, led to the opportunity for the building’s expansion next door and above. Respecting the historic building through massing, syncopation and composition, the modern addition maintains the streetscape open storefront while creating two floors of naturally lit office spaces above, including a wonderful balcony resting behind the clay tile roof overlooking University Avenue.
