Ken Hayes AIA
Managing Principal

Mr. Hayes has over 30 years of experience with a broad range of project types. He has provided the full range of programming, master planning, architecture and space planning services for high tech, corporate, commercial, developer and residential clients in the Bay Area. His experience includes new construction, seismic rehabilitation/reuse, building remodeling and interior architecture.

Mr. Hayes has particularly creative skills in developing strong architectural concepts and solving complex projects, as demonstrated by the award winning work.

Mr. Hayes' firm, Hayes Group Architects, is a community-minded architecture, interiors and urban design firm, with offices in Redwood City, that has had a strong presence on the peninsula for the past 21 years. The firm has successfully created and implemented many diverse project types in the Bay Area and is recognized for its expertise in projects in Palo Alto and surrounding communities.

Prior to the formation of Hayes Group, Mr. Hayes was founding partner of The Schutte Hayes Group, a Palo Alto based architecture and interiors firm.

Jeff Galbraith

Jeff has over 15 years of experience spanning a wide range of project scales, market sectors and building technologies. From single family homes and mixed-use projects along the Peninsula, to higher education facilities, boutique office buildings, a transportation facility, and large scale housing, Jeff has consistently delivered quality projects and contributed greatly to their success.

His experience and approach to architecture are rooted in both a devotion to detail and a deep knowledge of building materials. A maker by nature his early career included stints of hands-on construction experience with field work in the concrete, steel and finish trades. His intimate familiarity with building materials, construction methodologies and the realities of the construction process set him apart from his peers, enabling him both to lead design projects to success, and partner effectively with clients and builders alike.

Silvia Lee
Senior Associate

Silvia joined Hayes Group Architects in June of 2005 and has since served as a Project Manager. She was promoted to a Senior Associate in 2015. She received her Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and is a registered Architect. She has a diverse career working on a variety of project types and sizes including commercial building shells, and commercial interiors for high tech companies and venture capital firms. Silvia provides creative architectural design and planning solutions to every project. She is dedicated towards client service, and leading the project team through all phases of the project.

Jason Holleb AIA
Principal, LEED AP

Jason joined Hayes Group in 2000 and has been involved in all aspects and phases of projects as a project designer and project manager.

He was promoted to an Associate in 2009 and became a Principal in 2014.

He has lead multidisciplinary teams for a variety of project types and sizes including multi-story and mixed use corporate buildings, retail centers, fitness clubs, restaurants, commercial interiors for bay area high tech companies and venture capital firms, and various scaled residential projects.

Jason's residential projects have received recognition for the site sensitivity and use of innovative building technologies.

He demonstrates creative skills in developing strong architectural concepts, solving complex problems and supporting a team approach to his projects.

His clients appreciate his attention to detail and responsiveness in order to deliver them a high quality architectural solution to their project goals.

Anu Sumanth
Senior Associate

Anu joined Hayes Group in 2004 and has worked on several projects as a Project architect and manager.

She was promoted to Senior Associate in 2016. She received her Bachelor of Architecture from National Institute of Technology, Trichy, India and Master of Technology from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India.

After becoming a LEED AP in 2009, she has become the 'Hayes Group Green Building Expert' managing sustainability and green building aspects of all Hayes Group projects. Several of her projects have been awarded LEED Gold and LEED Silver USGBC certifications. She is a member of the Palo Alto Green Building Technical Advisory Committee that has been instrumental in writing the city's Green Building ordinance, which has received numerous accolades.

Her experience includes new construction, building remodeling and interior architecture for high tech firms, restaurants and cafes. She is very adept at identifying critical issues in a project early on and handles them resolutely. Clients appreciate her focus in planning, managing and handling the various complex phases of a project.

Terrence Murphey

Terrence Murphey is an Associate at Hayes Group, joining the firm in 2004. He has managed a wide variety of project types, including office tenant improvements, new core and shell structures, and seismic rehabilitations of existing buildings.

Terrence served as president of the local chapter of the American Institute of Architects in 2013 and remains very involved in professional enrichment. He has a bachelor's degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and is a registered Architect and Leed AP.
